I’m happiest on a trail with my husband, with a dog or two along. We have three sons, a daughter-in-law, and two dogs, Gibs and Mo. I love to travel just to see, hear and taste what it's like there, and I’m a sucker for a good word puzzle (Squaredle, I’m looking at you) and a movie night.

Brave Moments
Many people are nervous before a portrait session and recently, I experienced that feeling too. For my birthday, we hired a photographer who joined us on a hike in the Shenandoahs and ended up on top of Humpback Rocks for photos. It was well outside my comfort zone, for more reasons than one. I'm mostly scared of heights and at the top of the hike we were 800 feet up. I'm also much more familiar with being behind the camera than being the subject, but I’m so glad we did it.
