The short answer is yes and rest assured, many of my clients say some version of this when we first meet. But this is exactly who I truly enjoy working with. My job is to guide you throughout your session, refining every pose and coaching each expression, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands or your face. By the time we're done, you'll have images that look like you on your best day, relaxed and confident. Not a version of you that feels awkward or uncomfortable.

It starts before you ever walk into the studio. First, we'll connect for a wardrobe consultation either in person or through email, you'll receive a Portrait Experience prep guide, and we'll talk through your goals. On session day, hair and makeup happen first, then we photograph you. Afterward you'll see your images and choose what you love. The whole experience is designed so you're never guessing about what comes next.
what does a session look like, start to finish?
Each session includes a target number of images based on your goals, and you can always add more at your session. Whether you need a few updated headshots, a collection of images to refresh your website, or a complete set of headshots, team images, personal branding and social media photos, we will create what you need. You'll see everything we captured during your image selection and choose the ones you want to keep. You'll be guided about which images work best for certain uses., but nothing gets decided for you.
How many images do I walk away with?
For the Essential, you'll select your images on the day of your session. For the Signature and Brand Sessions, you'll choose your images during a separate ordering appointment. Finished, retouched digital images are typically delivered within two to three weeks. Every image in the Signature and Brand Session includes a fully retouched digital file and a professionally matted 5x7 print.
How long until I can use my images?
That hasn't happened yet, and I intend to keep it that way. My entire process is built around making sure you love what you see. We'll talk before the session, I'll guide you during it, and you'll choose your images yourself at the end. If something isn't working, we figure it out together before you leave.

That's what the discovery call is for. We'll spend about 15 minutes talking through what you need, where the images will live, and what you want them to do for your brand. I'll tell you honestly which package makes sense. No pressure, no pitch.
How do I know which session is right for me?
No. That's my job. I'll guide you through everything in real time. Most people are surprised by how natural it feels once we get going. You bring yourself. I'll handle the rest.

I'll help you figure that out before your session day. The Signature and Brand Sessions include a wardrobe consultation where I come to your home and we go through your closet together. The Essential includes an email guide with specific recommendations. You won't show up guessing.

My studio is at Savage Mill near Columbia, Maryland, centrally located between Baltimore and Washington DC. It's a warm, creative space designed for your comfort and confidence, and it feels nothing like a corporate photography studio. Clients consistently say it helped them relax the moment they walked in. That's exactly the point.

My creative instinct has always been to draw out the truth and beauty in an idea, first through art, now through my camera. It brings me incredible joy to find that photo of you that doesn't exist yet, the one you're proud to share with the world and that connects you with the right clients.
